Our Values

We are committed to living out the values of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to love God, love others, and share the good news of Jesus Christ.

We live on PB&J (Prayer, Bible, Jesus).

Mile High Church welcomes all on their spiritual journey, honoring each unique story in God’s plan. Through Scripture, prayer, and Jesus, we find hope, growth, and the strength to face life with confidence.

We can do more by doing less-Focus.

We realize we can’t do everything—but what we as a community are called by God to do, we do with excellence. Our focus is fulfilling the Great Commission and the Great Commandment to love. (Matthew 22:37-38, Matthew 28:19-20)

We keep it real even though life is messy.

We believe we can’t be what God has called us to be if we play games with each other. On stage, in community, in teams, or at home, we must share our faults, struggles, and weaknesses, being real with one another. (I John 1:8-9).

We are a team, we will not work alone.

God created you with gifts and skills that you can use to change lives in your community and the world. Because of this, we will be generous with our time, talent, and money. (I Peter 4:10-11).

We will be known for what we are for.

Sometimes the church gets a bad reputation because they can be so negative. We do believe that God calls certain things sin and we need to call that out in the world, but we want to be known for having grace, not having a critical spirit. (John 13:35).

We will make Jesus visible by serving our community.

We understand that God’s calling on our church is to go beyond just serving inside the walls of our church. We are constantly looking for opportunities to honor God and shine his light by serving others. (Matthew 5:14).

We build real relationships

We will go deep in God’s amazing truth, but will also go wide in connecting people with Jesus. It’s not either/or, it is both. We do this through real relationships and building a community of support that reaches far beyond the church doors. (Matthew 28:19)

Big Faith & Prayers

We have big faith, pray big prayers, and expect big results. We never want to insult God by thinking small and never taking faith-filled, prayer covered risk. (Hebrews 11:6)

We will grow as we multiply leaders and disciples.

We want to send God’s message into the world by reproducing leaders and communities. Mile High Church is a place where Christ-followers reproduce Christ-followers, leaders reproduce leaders, and churches reproduce churches. (Matthew 28:19)

We will lead the way in generosity.

We desire to be known in our community, both locally and globally, for what we give away. (Deuteronomy 15:10).

We don’t do church lite.

We preach the whole Gospel that will set you free and bring you into a personal relationship with the living God. (Romans 10:9-10).

Our Beliefs

We invite you to explore our beliefs and join us in our pursuit of living out our faith in boldness and passion.

  • The Bible

We believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God, true in every sense, and to be the one true guide for our lives and for the Church (Proverbs 30:5; 2 Timothy; 3:16 and 2 Peter 1:20–21).

  • The Trinity

We believe in the Trinity--that there is one God who has revealed Himself as the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:16-17; Acts 2:33; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Ephesians 4:4-6; Hebrews 2:1-4).

  • Creation

We believe we all have been created by God and are accountable to Him (Genesis 1:27, 5:2, Isaiah 5-16; Hebrews 9:27; 2 Corinthians 5:10; Romans 2:16; Revelation 20:12-15).

  • Jesus

We believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that He became man, lived a sinless life, died for our sins, was buried and arose on the third day. He is now seated at the right hand of God in heaven and shall return one day to judge both the living and the dead (Matthew 28:5-6; Mark 16:6; Luke 24:5b-6; Acts 7:55; Romans 8:34; Hebrews 1:3, 9:15; I Timothy 2:5 and I Corinthians 15:3-4).

  • Salvation

We believe all have sinned, and are saved only by grace through faith in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 3:24 and Titus 2:11-14).

  • Holy Spirit

We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit in the sanctifying and equipping of believers (Romans 8:5-16; Galatians 5:16-25; Ephesians 1:19, 4:11-13; 1 Corinthians 12:7-11).

  • The Church

We believe that there is only one Church, established by Jesus Christ, redeemed by Jesus Christ, united by faith in Jesus Christ, and consisting of all who have accepted the Lordship of Jesus Christ in their lives (Ephesians 4:4; Acts 2:42; Matthew 16:18; Ephesians 2:14-18).

  • Baptism & Communion

We believe in the holy ordinances of baptism and communion. We practice believer’s baptism by immersion and partake of communion on a regular basis (Romans 6:1-6; Acts 2:38-42; Colossians 2:12; 1 Corinthians 11:20-26).

  • Covenant Commitment

We believe that the Bible teaches that marriage is a covenant commitment, ordained by God, joining one man and one woman in a single, exclusive, holy union (Gen. 2:21-24, Matt. 19:4-6, Rom, 1:24-27, Lev.18:22, 1 Cor. 7:1-5, Eph. 5:22-23).

  • Eternal Life

We believe that everyone's soul lives eternally. How we respond to Jesus in this life will determine our eternal destiny. Those who believe in Jesus and accept Him as their Lord and Savior shall have eternal life in heaven (John 3:16; 1 Thess. 4:13-18); those who reject the Gospel of our Lord shall suffer eternal condemnation and separation from God (2 Thess. 1:8-9).
